Three Effective Logos

Exercise 1 - Effective Logos

Listed below are three logos that i believe are effective. Written below each photo is my reasoning behind why i chose them.

Logo 1 - Seven & Six

This is the logo of a contemporary furniture company. At first glance i thought that the logo didn't represent what i thought a furniture company should look like, however my decision was swayed as i thought that it seemed ahead of any of its competition that i have seen and really sets them apart as a modern contemporary company. The logo itself looks very aesthetically pleasing and has a great modern appeal about it. It is interesting and at the same time functional and it works well in the simplest form, black and white.

Logo 2 - Fox

This is a company that has been around for many years and creates a wide range of dirt-bike and moto-cross apparel. They also create a wide range of casual clothing and dabble in other extreem sporting areas.  The design of the logo captures the overall vibe of the brand in that it is modern and unique and can be described as 'cool'. Its aesthetic appeal is very effective and captures the great look of a fox whilst keeping the look appropriate for its intended audience. The design also looks great in its simplest form, black and white.

Logo 3 - Feather & Fur

This is obviously the logo for a pet store called 'feathers and fur'. The design of this logo captures both aspects of the business in a very creative way. I chose to include the logo as the designer managed to capture these aspects in a great idea and maintain a very aesthetically pleasing, modern integrity of the design. As well as these reasons the logo is still simple and hence a greatly attractive first impression of the business.
